Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid

The Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to a variety of medical emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. This comprehensive training is ideal for community members, workplace responders, teachers, coaches, and anyone who wants to be prepared to help in an emergency.
Course Objectives
Participants will learn to:
Recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants.
Perform high-quality CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.
Respond to choking incidents across all age groups.
Provide first aid for common injuries such as bleeding, burns, and sudden illnesses.
Recognize and manage emergencies related to temperature extremes, allergic reactions, and asthma.
Take preventive measures to reduce the risk of injury or illness.
Requirements for Completion
To successfully complete the course, participants must:
Complete all online modules before attending the in-person skills session.
Actively participate in all class activities, discussions, and practice sessions.
Demonstrate competency in required CPR, AED, and first aid skills.
Pass the final written assessment with a minimum score of 80%.
Certification Details
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification, valid for two years. This certification meets OSHA and workplace requirements and is nationally recognized for emergency preparedness training.
Blended Learning Format
This course follows a blended learning model, combining interactive online training with an instructor-led in-person session. The online portion introduces key concepts and allows participants to learn at their own pace, while the in-person session focuses on practicing lifesaving skills and applying them through realistic scenarios.
Next Steps After Registration
After registering, your instructor will email you to confirm class details and provide your enrollment link for the American Red Cross Learning Center. This link grants access to the online course materials, which must be completed before attending the in-person class. The instructor’s email will also include information about class time, location, and what to bring on the day of training.
